The Knits:
Socks, Undergarments, Beanies, Gloves, Scarves, any knit item that is used on a regular basis or to bear the winter months.
The Kits:
Kits contain many different items depending on need.
Health/Hygiene Kits contain personal care items and hygiene items. i.e.: Soap, Shampoo, Deodorant, Oral care, etc.
First Aid Kits contain items for minor cuts, injuries or abrasions. i.e: bandages, antiseptic wipes, anti-bacterial ointments, etc.
Home Kits contain household items that may not be easily attainable by underprivileged individuals in households. Cleaners, toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, detergent, dish soap, etc.
Couponing for a Cause
Couponing for cause started in 2015, as an effort to maximize the dollar. Many items can be purchased with coupons and as Extreme Couponers has shown us, it is possible to get item for free. Couponing for a cause is a way for individuals to learn to save in their daily lives through using coupons and gives the community a way to give back without monetary burden. If you or someone you know is a couponer or are interested in this program, please reach out to us. We accept in-kind donations of all items that can be used in our kits as well as knit items.
Funding Programs – Help us Help the Community
Welcome Home Kit Packages
In 2015, Knits and Kits started a welcome home kit package program to help with funding to support our programs. Welcome home kits are baskets of household items that can be given as gifts. Baskets are perfect for housewarming gift and realtor homebuyer packages. These baskets range from $35-$80 depending on the items included and size of each basket. If you are interested in purchasing a basket, please contact us for details. All proceeds benefit Knits and Kits support programs 100% to better support our community needs.
